Raising money for Ukrainian students by live streaming, that's the intention of study association XP (Creative Media and Game Technologies). They will start at 4 p.m. on Saturday. "We want to have fun while we commit to this wonderful cause," said Gus Eckrodt. It will be 24 hours of games, but there will also be components such as video suggestions, confessions, call-ins and rankings.
XP came up with the idea through the 'Spacecast show'. This web-show got attention very quickly during the corona curfew. The Spacecast show organized a 24-hour marathon stream where people were DJing to raise money for the KIKA Foundation - Children Cancer Free.
Hilarious things happened during the 24 hours, and it resulted in raising more than 400 euros for the charity. Gus Eckrodt, who was also involved in the Spacecast Show, suggested doing something similar to this, but related to study association XP and what they do best: have fun with video games, internet culture and videos and make a big mess of this together.
So don't expect only video games during the stream. It's going to be a fun stream for everyone. There is a tentative schedule of activities that will take place during the stream. Viewers will be able to interact in a variety of ways, such as video suggestions, confessions, call-ins and rankings. This planning will be published soon.
All this will take place from the association's main location: WARP-Technopolis. This makes the PLANETART Foundation their "partner in crime". But as a viewer, you can just follow the stream through this link: https://www.twitch.tv/unlock_xp
Helping our fellow students and our friends
The most important aspect of the stream is that they want to contribute in helping their fellow students. And XP wants to bring the audience together and entertain them while donating to a good cause. With that, viewers really get something back for the donation," says Gus Eckrodt. "And having fun with everyone while doing that is never something to complain about."
When and how can I participate?
The stream starts Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 4:00 pm. It will continue until Sunday, July 3, 2022 4:00 pm.

Yesterday we revealed the results of our month long campaign Saxion for Ukraine. In the end, the meter stopped at 31,885.23 Euro. Not nearly our intended target, but still an incredible amount for us. But more importantly: the past month also brought something else. Thanks to all of Saxion. "I felt not forgotten, heard and understood."
